This is the part where you take a quick description of a person or situation and interject that event or character into your essay. Let's say you're writing about the life of a famous singer. Instead of writing the sentence, 'After twenty years of singing, Elvis Presley retired from the stage and recorded his first album,' it is perfectly acceptable to interject, 'Elvis Presley became a legend in his own right after he was shot and permanently paralyzed during a Las Vegas shooting spree in August 1977.'Now that you know what the transitions are you can better write them yourself and learn how to do them well. The important thing about the transitions is that they force the reader to read your whole paragraph. You are forcing them to not only read what you have to say, but also read the space that you've created bet ween those two sentences. This creates an air of suspense, like you are waiting for them to come back and read your entire sentence.Using good college essay paragraph transitions will help you move the plot of your sentence and grab the attention of your reader. The Canadian Health Care System - 2167 Words
The Canadian health care system is funded majorly by the public, with very few private donations. Over the past few decades acts of large-scale philanthropy by wealthy private donors have started to increase, due to the investments in social programs and infrastructure from the government declining. Without the aid of private donors and large sources of income from outside of the public (government) the infrastructure of all hospitals, clinics, and the totality of western healthcare systems would collapse and ultimately fail as the system is set up presently. There is an opportunity of keeping a healthy and happy society sustained by public funds, as long as the government is able to step up and provide the healthcare system with enough funds, making the donations from philanthropists an excess instead of a necessity. Debt is a burden that is implemented by those who own it. Debt is the punishment for any group or person that dedicates their work to only helping those in need. Debt can only be lifted by those with enough money. Rhetorical Analysis Of Humans Need Not Apply â⬠MyAssignmenthelp.com
Question: Discuss about the Rhetorical Analysis Of Humans Need Not Apply. Answer: Introduction The present essay aims at rhetorically analyzing the provided piece based on a video by CGP Grey, which is named Humans Need Not Apply (Simsek et al. 2015). The essay states that technological innovation has advanced a lot and artificial intelligence based robots are not a part of scientific fiction any longer; they are very much a part of reality (CGP Grey 2018). The aim of this essay is not giving details regarding the negative aspects of technology, yet it aims at establishing the fact, before the readers, that robots are certainly going to replace humans in the sphere of workforce, in not so distant a future. Discussion The following rhetorical concepts have been implemented in the essay by fetching liable textual evidence: Ethos The above-mentioned piece propagates that science and capitalism emerge together and view only profit at the cost of deprivation of human rights. The readers are likely to consider this particular article credible, since this article deals with artificial intelligence, technological developments and capitalist tendency, which exists and have been tested and proven real. Pathos The piece contains a flavor of dystopia, which appeals to the inquisitive minds of the readers. This piece further propagates the method in which a capitalist society functions and leads to economic and social despair; this particular point appeals every section of the human race, however, the piece does not directly highlight this problem (Miller and Pessoa 2016). The piece provides a rejuvenating alternative to the clichd sociological concept of leisure society (CGP Grey 2018). The points of crisis proposed by the piece cannot be declared false, the readers perceive the reality of the threat posed to their working sphere in near future, by the representatives of automation. Logos With the advancement in the field of technology, this particular piece puts forth several progressions in the domain of science and lets the readers learn about the advances achieved in the field of robotics and other such domains. The author proposes various instances in the sphere of progression, initiating from the invention of mechanical tools, such as plows and tractors. The article demonstrates examples to portray the way in which advancements expand the economies and consequently standards of living rise. In a subtle manner the article brings forth the instances of horses and their imaginary conversation regarding their workless condition, owing to the advent of mechanical power (CGP Grey 2018). This aims at drawing a parallel to human condition in a future full of robots. Conclusion The draft essay contains an interesting beginning, comprehensible middle and logical end; each paragraph proposes a topic sentence for instance the opening paragraph points out how automation is going to affect human employment. The draft essay critically analyzes the aspects of the text and implements rhetorical concepts by fetching evidence from the text and does not merely summarize it. Nevertheless, it would not be intelligible to imply that since robots are likely to render humans jobless, one must not proceed with their development and further establishment. The piece is not completely correct, when speaking about invention of tools; it was a creative process and was not built merely out of lazy thoughts. Moreover, no mechanical production is capable of replacing creativity and consequently producing art; the brain is not any mechanical device. However, the aspect proposed by the article cannot be completely negated, the future of humans is going to witness economic and social crisis. References CGP Grey. 2018.Humans Need Not Apply. A short story I wrote back in the 6th grade. Only constructive criticism, please. Dear Owen, That was a rough Journey! Even making my way back to the hotel room alone was hard. For a moment I knew I wasnt being able to breathe. I cant believe God had kept me alive for this. Our last meeting, a blessing! The night sky is gazing at me. The starlit sky, the most beautiful one Id ever seen. It was the last twilit sky that I will never be alive to see again. Ah.. Gods creation. I never really thought about it that way. God has blessed us with so many wonderful wings. He gave us all we could ever wish for. And today he has fulfilled my last wish. The night sky led me into a flashback of the past. My friends said that I was stupid to fall for all your wonderful charms. But did I care? Focuses not. They didnt really matter to me anymore, coos then I had you. Everything, everyday after that day felt like a dream. My life was a consecration to you. Four years later, we were married and you told me that you had to go to China for one week for business purposes. Two weeks had passed but I received no word from you. I thought the company held you back for some reason. I was also as stupid to think that youd surprise me by showing up all of a sudden. Days passed by, some of which seemed never-ending. I was already a half-dead person then. Sitting on the window seat, waiting for you to walk up the porch, come running to me and hug me tightly. That feeling filled my heart with warm delight. But it never happened. I was dumbfounded- I couldnt find any explanations as to why you did that to me, so I tried to make myself believe that you must have had a reason. That it was my fault, and you left me because of something I did- never would I have anticipated that you would leave me for another woman. I cited to move on with my life with a broken heart. A few years later, however, I received a letter from you saying that you were sorry for what you did and you still loved me. It was unexpected; I thought I would never hear from you again. You asked me to meet you the following year on the island where we first met. I didnt know whether I could trust you with my heart again, but I thought it was worth a try. A few faraway stars are twinkling, and its reflected upon the ocean. There were two stars close to each other, twinkling bright. It reminded me of us, how happy we were. The sky was like a good dose of medicine. It healed me in the inside but I could barely keep looking at it. But I am trying to keep my eyes open. Tallest as long as it takes to finish writing this letter. I have a feeling that if I let go, I might never be able to get back again. My time on this earth is short. You know it now. The oxygen tank is a trustworthy friend, supplying me with fresh 02 when my lungs cant provide. The wheelchair is also something I could lean on when I need support. The sky is still peaceful, Owen. But now I feel like I cant take it anymore. The pain. It feels like something is ripping out my heart. Truly unbearable. It is too much for me to handle. The sky is beautiful but it is still black. Like a black hole, waiting to suck me into it. I feel like it is pulling me. Some certain magnetism. Something which gravity couldnt control. The stars are my only hope but they too are beginning to fade. And my grasp on this pen is loosening up. I cannot force myself anymore. I have to let go. I must get ready for my final departure. The ants trail across this desk I write upon ended a while back, and my life too, shall come to an end. Hearing you say my name one last time would have been nice. But I have had enough. Im sorry if this time you are the one who feels cheated. If you are still reading this Just know that I have the energy to write a few more words; l love you, I always have, and will. Chloe.
